Well that was a bad couple of weeks at the end of June.  I think it had to do with my sodium intake and still balancing things out from the trip to Niagara.

No worries - I really am back on track.  I am sure that July will show better results.

I really want to hit my personal goal of losing 100 pounds by my birthday in October.  I believe that this is a reasonable goal.  I just have to stick to the program by eating within my smart points allowance and exercising more.  I can do this.

May was not really about losing weight.  My brother's wedding was in Niagara Falls on May 21.  My parents and I, as well as my youngest brother, left for Niagara on May 18.So I missed the WW meeting on May 21.  I also enjoyed myself while I was there and did not worry about points.  We did do a lot of walking to balance out some of that overeating.

We got back on May 24, but I missed a second meeting because I had to drive my parents to the airport.

Now that I am home, everything can get back on track.  Eating right and exercising.

So I reached my goal of hitting 85 pounds down by April 16 (accomplished on April 9).  After that I actually went up a little, but that is ok.

April was pretty crazy with my soon-to-be-sister-in-law's bachelorette party on April 16.  It was a lot of fun.  We went out to Canmore/Banff for the weekend.  The weather was beautiful.

It feels good to be making progress.  I reached 80lbs down with WW this month.  I am also over 100 pounds down since my highest weight back in 2005.

I am almost hitting my goal of losing a pound a week.  The new WW program is working for me, especially when I actually track everything.

My WW meeting leader went to Hawaii for about a month.  Before she left, she set a goal with me to reach 85lbs down by the time she gets back (on April 16).  This has kept me focused over the past few weeks.

Wow.  I am so close to being 80 pounds down on this WW journey.

I became a YMCA member in mid February.  Danielle and I now go to Aquasize class at least once a week (really need to make sure that is 2-3 times, but it is a start).

The weather has been great and I can now get back to walking outside after dinner.

All great moves towards losing more weight in 2016.

It has been crazy over the past couple of months.  First I left for Victoria to spend the holidays with my parents and siblings on Dec 23.  We got back home late on Jan 3.  Then on Jan 6 my grandmother of almost 92 years passed away.  Her funeral was Jan 16 in Medicine Hat where she was born and raised and lived until 2010.

Somehow throughout all the holiday treats, road trip snacks, and funeral luncheon (plus grief) - I didn't gain any weight.

In fact I accomplished my 75 pound weight loss goal on Saturday at my WW meeting !!

I have made some good changes with the new program.  I am really focused on not adding extra sugar and saturated fat to my diet (as in my food intake).

It would be great to be able to lose about 10 pounds before my brother's wedding in May, maybe even 15 pounds.

I have now lost more weight than I have to lose.  So I am on the second half of this particular weight loss journey.  With the new program, I can see myself losing more weight this year than the last.

2016 is going to be awesome !!

Ok, so here is the second part of my update - for Nov-Dec.  It started out so well and then I had my office Christmas party and I also went out for my (soon to be) sister-in-law's birthday.

I am back on track and saw a nice loss this past Saturday at my WW meeting.

Also - WW started their new program.  Now they look at the calories, saturated fat, sugars, and protein to determine the (now called) Smart Points of a food.

This has actually re-energized me and made me really look at some of my food choices.

I have stopped grabbing a candy or two out of the dish at reception everyday.  I have increased my fruits and veggies, and stopped having a granola bar for my morning snack.  I am working on drinking more water all throughout the day and am not adding milk to my tea.  I increased my protein, especially at breakfast and lunch.

Most important I stopped binge eating on Saturdays because "I had already weighed in" and "it doesn't count/will just be a part of my weekly extra points".

I still had treats on Saturday - they were just smarter choices and smaller portions.

I am very excited about the new program (even if they are having technological issues on the app and website).  It really does make me think before I just have that bite, lick or taste.

Now I just need to develop some plans and solutions for Christmas.  I do not want to gain 5 to 10 pounds and spend the first part of 2016 working to get back to my pre-holiday weight.
